Denise Stacy

I am a native Tulsan and Nathan Hale alumni. As far back as I can remember, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. The playhouse in our back yard was my schoolhouse, complete with desks, a chalkboard and a seemingly endless supply of chalk. My dolls, stuffed animals and Barbies were my first students. I graduated in 2006, from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Meg DeWeese was the inspiration for me to finally achieve my goal, after working as her aide at Thoreau. The late TCC Professor, Dr.  Mark Helstern, taught me to see history through the eyes of the amazing Americans that fought for and sustained our freedom as well as all the people that were impacted along the way. Now I am a Developer of Human Potential and a Redskin for life.  My goal is to inspire my students to not only love this country and every good thing it has to offer, but to become engaged citizens. This is going to be an amazing year!
