Kristina Fridrich

My name is Tina Fridrich and this is my 15th year teaching.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Science from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1992.  I  returned to Union 6th/7th Grade Center 5 years ago after a leave of 9 years staying home with my two boys.  Even though I have taught at Tulsa Public, Jenks, and Union, I bleed red and black!  Being a Redskin and doing things “the right way” is very important to me.   I truly enjoy teaching  young people and believe that all can succeed given the chance and proper tools to do so.

"Pre-Engineering" or STEM--Science, Technology, Engineering and Math is a new course offering for 6th graders.  The curriculum is "Energy and the Environment" and "Magic of Electrons".  Students will learn this content while working on their problem solving skills, communication, team work, and trial and error.  All student work is submitted on an LMS (Learning Management System) and they will use individual laptops daily.  My goal is to have my kiddos no longer "tell me", but be able to "explain to me".

I am blessed to get to do what I love at a place like Union.  It’s a GREAT day to be a Redskin!
