Lauren Stauffer

I graduated from Union High School in 2000.  Then, I went to Oklahoma State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology.  I graduated from OSU in 2004 and moved to Houston, TX where I decided to attend an alternative certification program to teach high school science.  I taught Biology, PE, and coached girls soccer for 3 years in Texas.  In 2007, I moved back to Tulsa and started working at Union Public Schools.  I have been at Union 9th Grade Center since 2007 where I have taught Biology, PreAP Biology, Virtual Biology, and Principles of Biomedical Science. I have also coached 8th grade basketball, junior varsity fastpitch softball, and junior varsity slowpitch softball.  I am currently the Science Department Head.  I was chosen as the Union 9th Grade Center Teacher of the Year in 2013-2014.  For the upcoming school year, I will be teaching Human Body Systems at Union High School and then traveling to the 9th Grade Center to teach Principles of Biomedical Science. I believe that all children have the ability to learn and it is my goal to ensure that each student receives the education they deserve.  I want to encourage each student to be the best they can be academically and personally.
